We are happy to announce the schedule and repertoire for our Fall-Winter 2015-2016 semester, which marks our 15th anniversary!

Rehearsals begin on Monday, September 28th at 7:15pm in Presser Hall. Our concert will be on Friday, January 22nd and we’ll be preparing works by American composers, including Thompson’s Frostiana (a throw back to our first concert), The Lark by Copland, three pieces by local composer Steve Dankner, two pieces from Lauridsen’s Les Chansons des Roses, and a few other pieces we are still firming up.

While we continue our search for a new director, John Howland has graciously agreed to lead us for this semester. Tricia Ho, a senior at Williams will be our accompanist.

Join us for our 13th season!

Calling all singers!

We will begin rehearsals for our winter concert on Monday, September 29th. Rehearsals take place every Monday from 7:15-9:15pm in Presser Hall on the Williams College campus. Please plan to arrive early on the 29th to register and bring $40 to cover your dues.

We’ll be preparing the following pieces for a Friday, January 16th performance in Chapin Hall:

Additionally, our spring program will be a celebration of Copland & Bernstein! The concert will feature Copland’s rarely heard complete Old American Songs for chorus and full orchestra. Also on the program is the music from Bernstein’s A Wonderful Town and selections from Candide. For this performance, we’ll be joining forces with the Cantilena Chamber Choir on May 2nd at Thompson Memorial Chapel in Williamstown and on May 3rd at Trinity Church in Lenox.

New Singers Welcome!

We are looking for singers to participate in our spring season. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at 7:15PM in Presser Hall on the Williams College campus in Williamstown. The first rehearsal is Monday, February 3rd and new members are encouraged to attend. Please arrive early for registration. Dues are $50.

We will prepare pieces for a April 11th, 2014 concert featuring Requiem by Bob Chilcott, plus works by Morten Lauridsen.

Call for singers, Spring 2013

Our new season starts January 28, 2013!  We are always looking for more members, so if you can sight read and are free Monday evenings, we would really like to sing with you.

Our first meeting will be at 7:00 pm, Monday January 28th in Presser Rehearsal Hall, Bernhard Music Center, Williams College. Membership fee is $40.00

The Winter Concert is Coming!

We will sing for your enjoyment (and ours)

  • three powerful verse anthems by Orlando Gibbons, including the rarely heard This is the Record of John
  •  J.S. Bach’s the Magnficat in D;
  •  the Kyrie and Gloria from the Messe de minuit by Marc-Antoine Charpentier
  • sections of  Handel’s Messiah
  • the opening chorus of  Ottorini Respighi’s Laud to the Nativity and
  • Charles Stanford’s Ye Choirs of New Jerusalem
Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
