The Northern Berkshire Choral board is happy to announce an exciting dual program for the Spring! In one part, the Chorale will present a series of shorter works with a string quartet on the theme of remembrance: Garrett’s “The Gift to Sing”; Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia”; Beethoven’s “Elegischer Gesang”; Daley’s “In Remembrance”; Barnwell’s “Wanting Memories”; Takach’s “One Boy Told Me”; Brahms’ “Abendlied”; and Hagenberg’s “O Love.” For the other part, the Chorale will collaborate with the Sage City Symphony and several other choruses to present Lili Boulanger’s “Vielle Prière Bouddhique” as part of a larger concert in Bennington on May 17. The concert of shorter works on remembrance is on Saturday, May 23 at 7:30pm, in Chapin Hall, Williams College ($15 suggested donation).
